Odette Channelll

The work of O Channell Designs requires closer inspection. Inspired by the movement of water, botany, architectural salvage and any rocky surface; designer and maker Odette Channell captures memories of stormy seas and budding plants in the unique texture of her creations. Her work combines fine metal fabrication with lost wax casting, often pairing the crisp edges of fabricated stone settings with wild surfaces that only wax working can achieve. Whether simple or ornate, each piece contains details intended to draw you in and hold you there.

Channell’s love of jewelry began at a young age and unfolded into a pursuit of technical knowledge that brought her to study Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing at Pratt Institute. She has since honed her skill working as a bench jeweler for various designers, and exploring materials at every opportunity. In addition to making, she has worked as a technician, a curator, a mentorship liaison, and as a jewelry instructor. She has been assisting and teaching classes at Brooklyn Metalworks since 2014.

O Channell Designs uses responsibly sourced gold and silver, as well as precious and semi-precious gemstones. Stones are old-stock, or post-consumer-recycled whenever possible.
