Odette Channelll

Odette Channell is a designer and maker based in Brooklyn, NY. Channell spent her upbringing traveling to various countries, often admiring the new forms of body adornment represented in small communities, commonly incorporating bead-work. Odette's love for beading progressed from a childhood hobby to a career path in which she integrates her personal bead collection into her work. To this day, her collection still carries a playfulness as seen through a child's eye, discovering the new ways to communicate her love for jewelry.

After graduating from Pratt Institute with a BFA in Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing, she worked as a studio technician at FIT and later honed her technique working as a bench jeweler for Alex Šepkus. Under her fine jewelry label O Channell Designs, Odette produces a collection in gold and silver, as well as custom wedding and engagement jewelry. Odette has been assisting and teaching classes at Brooklyn Metal Works since 2014.
