Jolynn Santiago
Jolynn Santiago is an artist, jeweler, and educator based in Charlotte, Vermont. From an early age, she developed a relationship to making through time spent alongside her father on jobsites, working with scraps, sawdust, and simple materials. This early exposure to process and material continues to ground her practice and inform her approach to making.
She holds a BFA in Jewelry and Enameling from Kent State University and an MFA in Metal from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Santiago has taught at institutions including SUNY New Paltz, Towson University, and Montgomery College, and has led workshops at craft schools such as the Baltimore Jewelry Center, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts (where she was also an Artist-in-Residence), Pocosin, and Metalwerx. She currently offers in-person and online classes from her studio in Charlotte, Vermont.
Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including Particles at the Museum of Art and Design in Brussels, Belgium; Collect Art Fair in London; the Rejewelry Competition in New York; and SCHMUCK 2023 in Munich, Germany. Most recently, she presented a solo exhibition, surroundings, at Brooklyn Metal Works.
