Hand cut one of a kind silver plated flatware.

Each of these pieces is a spoon to be considered and collected.

Spoons vary in size, generally between 6 - 8 inches in length.

Specific Gravity offers unique items that are designed and fabricated by artists working in the studios of Brooklyn Metal Works or are part of our larger community, meeting our criteria of originality and quality of craft. Please keep in mind that each piece is individually made in a studio setting and features subtle variations in detail and finish from items photographed on our website.

Brian Weissman

Brian Weissman is a co-founder of Brooklyn Metal Works and Specific Gravity.

As an artist, Brian enjoys working with traditional metalsmithed objects to examine how their socially, politically and culturally inherited meanings and values can be distorted through a constantly changing world. Through these explorations he tries to find the humor and beauty in the objects he creates.
