"Horus was a symbol of protection and healing, as well as victory of order over chaos – which I find to be relevant in the world we live in today. Instead of using just the Eye of Horus which is traditionally used as an amulet for protection and healing, I chose the entire graphic image of the falcon as times today are asking of all of us to be the counter force of good.
Sokol is Falcon in Croatian, and Soko was the company my grandfather on my father's side worked in. This summer I finally had a chance to visit his grave (he passed in 1992 during the conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina) and I wanted to dedicate this pendant to him as I feel he's watching over me always." - Mia Hebib
